Phase 6: VRIO Analysis

Instructions

Assess the Key Resource drawn for each idea. Provide qualitative feedback and rate each category (1–5 stars). Totals help compare strategic potential.

  • Valuable: Does the resource enable exploiting opportunities or neutralizing threats (cost/speed/quality impact)?
  • Rare: Is the resource uncommon among current/potential competitors?
  • Inimitable: Is it hard to copy due to history, causal ambiguity, or social complexity?
  • Organized: Is the firm structured and incentivized to capture value (processes, culture, systems)?
